New York, NY (October 26, 2015)–Upstart boxing manager’s Split-T Management has made it’s first significant hire by adding longtime distinguished matchmaker Joe Quiambao as it’s Director of Boxing Operations.
Quiambao, who started as a Golden Gloves amateur boxer, has most recently been the matchmaker for one of the biggest boxing promotions in the world in DiBella Entertainment.

In his 13 years at DiBella Entertainment, Quiambao matched fights and helped develop the careers Sergio Martinez, Paulie Malignaggi, Jermain Taylor, Andre Berto as well as Edwin Rodriguez, Ivan Redkach and Seanie Monaghan.

“I am excited to have someone with Joe’s experience and talent on board,” Said Split-T Management CEO Dave McWater. “For an agency like ours that is intent on getting prospects lots of fights fast, it is very important to have a top matchmaker. In Joe, I think we got the very best. We haven’t had a fight not get made since he started.”

“Joe has not just have experience, but also the intelligence, and most importantly the work ethic that is what Split-T management is all about.”

Quiambao was out of boxing for a year and even got a job in the working world, but he missed the sport and being around the boxing people for whom he had developed and received a mutual respect throughout the world.

“The sport is in my blood. When I thought about getting back in, I said to myself that it had to be the right situation and then a friend of mine told me about Dave McWater,” said Quiambao. “When I met Dave, he explained to me his vision and what is going to separate him from everyone else. I did my research on him and learned that he was a great businessman.”

“He owns several bars in Lower Manhattan and has been involved in other sports such as baseball and basketball. On top of that, he is a great guy.”

“He had the requirements that I was looking for in that right situation.”

“With me being a former New York Golden Gloves champion, I grew up in the boxing community my whole life and wanted to be on the side of the boxer. I always felt that I would be better working directly with the fighter. I feel with Dave’s smarts and my experience in boxing, we are going to do a lot of things that have not been done in the sport for the fighters. I am happy to be a part of that”

Split-T Management growing roster includes Jr. Welterweight Clive Atwell; Undefeated Light Heavyweight Joseph Williams; Undefeated Bantamweight Antonio Nieves; Undefeated Welterweight Wesley Tucker; Undefeated Middleweight Leandre White; Undefeated Heavyweights: Darlington Agha and Trent Rawlins and Adonis Stevenson conqueror, Super Middleweight Darnell Boone.
