ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 22, 2016)–Tonight at The Claridge in Atlantic City, Kevin Asmat of North Bergen, New Jersey is set to make his pro debut against Dallas Holden of Atlantic City in a super bantamweight bout scheduled for four rounds.

Asmat was a former amateur standout as he compiled a record of 96-14 and he made made it to the semifinal round of the 2016 Olympic qualifying tournament.

“I am feeling great and I am ready for Friday,” said Asmat after Friday’s weigh in where he checked in at 120 pounds.

“All I know about my opponent is that he is from Atlantic City,” Asmat said of Holden, who will also be making his pro debut.

The 21 year-old Asmat is grateful for the opportunity that Rising Promotions offered him so he could make his pro debut in his home state.

“It feels good that Thomas LaManna and his mom Debbie gave me an opportunity to debut on their card.”

When asked what fans should expect, Asmat said, “My style depends on how the fight is going. I can box, I can fight when I have to and also be a boxer-puncher. I adapt to what I need to do to win the fight.”

Asmat intends to stay very busy and he predicts and long and prosperous professional career.

“I will be happy to get in three or four fights this year and hopefully fight about seven times in 2017. That should get me on my way and I can’t for tonight and people can see that they saw the beginning of my legacy.”

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 20, 2016)–This Friday night at the Claridge in Atlantic City, welterweight, Thomas ” Cornflake” LaManna will take on Engleberto Valenzuela in a six-round bout in a card promoted by Rising Promotions.

With a win, the 24 year-old of Millville, New Jersey is staring a big opportunity in the face against an undefeated opponent that is already penciled in for a September 16th date in Atlantic City.

Although, LaManna can not and will not get into specifics of that fight until he comes through the fight with Valenzuela as he is not taking the native of Sonora, Mexico lightly.

“Valenzuela is a guy from Mexico, who will come to fight. I will try to invest in body work early and see where that goes,” said Lamanna.

LaManna stepped up his training as he started his camp out west and worked with a high class of fighters in an effort to up his skill level.

“Everything went well in camp. I started out in Las Vegas and worked with 2012 Olympic Gold medal winner Ryota Murata. Originally I was not going to fight because of the fight in September, But I was feeling good, so we are ready to put on a great performance.”

This is the fourth fight card for Rising Promotions at The Claridge. The Promotional company headed by Thomas and his mother Debbie. Putting on a show where LaManna is promoting is a daunting task as he must find time to take care of all aspects in putting a show together, but also train properly for a high-class professional boxing match.

“At times it is difficult to train and work on the promotional aspects of the show. But I am intelligent enough to oversee that everyone is doing their job. We have had three shows and I have fought on two of them, and everything has gone well for us and me in the ring as well. If there is a problem, I fix it, but I am a fighter first. The training is most important. That get’s taken care of first, and then I take care of the promotional end of things.”

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 19, 2016)–This Friday night at the Claridge in Atlantic City, welterweight, Anthony “Juice” Young will be in the headlining bout for the first time, and he gets to do it in front of his hometown fans as he takes on Eduardo Flores in six-round bout in a card promoted by Rising Promotions.

The 28 year-old former college football player will look for his 2nd straight win and in the process look to put on a dominant performance against a man who has more than three-times the amount of fights then the Atlantic City native.

“Camp has gone well. I have been sparring with a fighters such as Anthony Burgin, Tevin Farmer, Thomas LaManna and Arturo Padilla,” said Young.

In Flores, he is facing a guy who has faced a litany of prospects and contenders and is by far the most experienced foe that Young has faced.

“I know he is a veteran and has been stopped five times in 47 fights. I know he is coming to fight and I hope to execute the game plan and then I can be the 6th guy to stop him.”

This will be Young’s 7th fight on the boardwalk and fourth in a row, yet unlike some fighters who do not like fighting at home due to outside demands for tickets, Young embraces the opportunity to perform in front of familiar faces.

“It is always a big deal to fight in front of the home crowd. I feed off of them and it urges me on to put on a great performance. Even though this is my first headliner, I always feel like I am the headliner no matter where I fight, but especially here.”

Young knows that a few good wins can put him in position to get in line for a great opportunity, but he is not looking past Flores.

“I plan on getting the win on Friday. I am taking this one fight at a time. I am looking to get back in the ring in September and hopefully fight for a regional title next year. I just want everyone to come out on Friday and put on a spectacular performance.”

Welterweight’s Anthony “Juice” Young and Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna, who will compete in the main event and co-feature respectively were two of the fighters featured at the workout.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 1, 2016)–On Friday night, July 22nd, welterweight, Anthony “Juice” Young will headline a great night of boxing against Ariel Vasquez in a scheduled 8-round welterweight bout at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.

Welterweight Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna will take part in a six-round co-feature bout against Eduardo Flores.

The card is promoted by Rising Promotions.

“We are excited to be running our fourth show in seven months at The Claridge,” said Debra LaManna of Rising Promotions.

“We are starting to build a reputation for putting on well matched and exciting cards at The Claridge and July 22nd will be no different.”

Young of Atlantic City has a record of 12-2 with five knockouts will be looking for his second consecutive victory.

The 28 year-old won his first ten bouts that was highlighted by a victory over Jose Javier Calderon (4-1).

This will be Young’s 6th (and 4th consecutive) fight in his hometown.

He is coming off a 6-round unanimous decision victory over Juan Rodriguez on April 29.

Vasquez of Managua, Nicaragua has a record of 12-14-2 with eight knockouts.

Vasquez, 29 years old turned professional in 2005 and fought his first 11 fights in his native Nicaragua. He twice fought Juan Antonio Rodriguez for the WBC Youth Featherweight title and held undefeated Eliezer Landas (10-0) to a draw in a bout for the WBA Fedecentro Super Bantamweight title.

He has faced six undefeated fighters including his last two. In his last outing, Vasquez lost a unanimous decision to Jose Felix Quezada (9-0) on May 17 in Carlton, Minnesota.

LaManna of Millville, New Jersey has a record of 20-1 with eight knockouts.

The 24 year-old LaManna turned professional in 2011 and won his first sixteen bouts that were highlighted by wins over Ashandi Gibbs & Jamaal Davis.

Since suffering his only loss to world ranked Middleweight Antoine Douglas on ShoBox: The New Generation, LaManna has won four straight which includes a 6-round unanimous decision over rugged Ayi Bruce on September 26th in Beach Haven, New Jersey. In his last bout, LaManna stopped Kendal Mena (20-3) in four rounds on March 19th at The Claridge in Atlantic City.

With a win, LaManna will be back in September in a high profile bout.

But he will have to get past Flores, who is a veteran of 47 professional fights (23-21-3, 15 KO’s).

Flores of Quito, Eciador is a battle tested fighter who has faced a bevy of champions and top contenders.

He has been in the ring with world champions Carlos Baldomir & Kermit Cintron as well as contenders Diego Chaves, Brad Soloman, Wale Omotoso, David Zagara, Knat Islam, Bryant Perella, Khiary Gray Pitts, world title challenger Franklin Mamani & Erick Bone.
