Split-T Management Fighters Ivan Golub and Trinidad Vargas get Big Wins

NEW YORK (October 17, 2022) – Split-T Management’s Ivan Golub and Trinidad Vargas had their hands raised with winning performances over the weekend.

Thursday night at Sony Hall in New York City, Ivan Golub stopped Wesley Tucker at the end of round four of a scheduled 10-round junior middleweight bout.

In round two, Tucker landed a left hook that made Golub’s glove touch the canvas for a knockdown. In round four, Golub had a dominant round as he landed several flurries of hard punches that rocked Tucker. In between rounds the fight was halted in the comer.

Golub, 150.6 lbs of Brooklyn, NY via Ukraine is 21-1 with 16 knockouts. Tucker, 152 lbs of Toledo, OH is 15-4.

Friday night in Niagara Falls, New York, Trinidad Vargas remained undefeated with a four-round unanimous decision over Jenn Gonzalez in a bantamweight bout.

Scores were 39-35 on all cards for Vargas, who is no 2-0. Gonzalez of Nicaragua is 9-14-1.

Vargas, 19 years-old of Dallas, Texas, had an incredible amateur resume that culminated with a record of 198-12 and won 13 National Championships.

That amateur career saw him become a 6x Junior Golden Gloves National Champion, Silver Gloves National Champion; 2017 Junior Open Champion; 2017 Western Regional Champion; 2017 Eastern Regional Champion; 2018 USA Junior Boxer of the Year; 2018 Junior Olympics Champion for which he won the Male Boxer of the Tournament; 2018 Eastern Regional Champion and Western Regional Champion.

Split-T Management’s Ivan Golub Shines on Broadway and wins USBA Welterweight Title with Unanimous Decision over Eric Walker


NEW YORK (August 4, 2021)–Ivan Golub captured the USBA Welterweight title with a 10-round unanimous decision over Eric Walker in a bout that took place on Tuesday night at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

With the win, Golub who is managed by Split-T Management, will now get a high-ranking by the IBF.

Walker came out fast, and tried to set a pace in the opening two frames. Once Golub was able to make the slight adjustments, he was able to dictate the fight on his own terms. He began to take control in the third round, and was able to put Walker on the canvas twice.

In round five, Golub landed a crisp right hook that put Walker on the deck.

In round nine, it was a left to the head that put Walker on the canvas, and that all but locked the fight up for Golub.

Golub of Brooklyn via Golovka, Ukraine won by scores of 98-90, 97-91 and 96-92 to raise his record to 20-1. Walker falls to 20-4.

Split-T Management’s Ivan Golub Weighs-In For USBA Welterweight Title Fight against Eric Walker

NEW YORK (August 2, 2021)–Welterweight contender Ivan Golub returns to the ring tomorrow night as he takes on Eric Walker in a 10-round bout for the USBA Welterweight title at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.

The bout will be part of the Trillaverz card.

Golub, who is managed by Split-T Management, has a record of 19-1 with 15 knockouts.

The 32 year-old native of Brooklyn, NY via Golovka, Ukraine is a seven year-veteran, who has wins over Kirk Huff (3-0), Tyson Harrison (2-0), Kendal Mena (20-2), Juan Rodriguez (12-3), Marlon Aguas (9-0), James Stevenson (23-2), Janer Gonzalez (19-2-1) and his last bout when he Ivan took out Luis Eduardo Florez in six-round on February 20th in Orlando.

Walker of Plaquemine, Louisiana has a record of 20-3 with nine knockouts.

Walker, 38, is a eight-year veteran who has compiled wins over Larry Dardar (1-0-2), Kenton Sippio Cook (6-0), K’Lon Spencer (4-1), Chris Pearson (13-0) and Michael Moore (17-2).

He has defeated former world title challengers John Jackson (21-3) & John Thompson (19-3)

In his last bout, Walker dropped a decision to Israil Madimov on August 15, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

At Monday’s weigh-in, Golub weighed 146.2 lbs. Walker was 147 lbs.

NEW YORK (November 15, 2019)–Tonight, two Members of the Split-T Management banner will be in action at The Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Once-beaten welterweight Ivan Golub takes on Janer Gonzalez in a ten-round contest for the WBC USNBC Welterweight title, while undefeated super welterweight Ardreal Holmes battles Jose Antonio Abreu in a eight-round bout.

Golub of Brooklyn, New York via Goravoka, Ukraine is 17-1 with 13 knockouts. The hard punching Golub is on a four-fight winning streak and over his five-year career, the 30 year-old has wins over Kirk Huff (3-0), Tyson Harrison (2-0), Juan Rodriguez Jr (12-3), Marlon Aguas (9-0), James Stevenson (23-2), and in Golub’s last bout he stopped Joaquim Cameiro on August 1st in Monroeville, PA.

Gonzalez of Colombia has wins over Victor Coronado (4-1), Devis Caceres (14-2) and Carlos Galven (9-1-1). the former Colombian and WBC Latino Super Welterweight champion, Gonzalez is coming off a loss to world ranked Jamal James on February 23rd in Minneapolis.

Golub weighed in at 146,2 lbs and Gonzalez weighed in at 149.4 lbs. Gonzalez is ineligible to win the title.

Holmes of Flint, Michigan, has a record of 10-0 with four knockouts. Holmes, who was a heralded amateur, was a National Golden Gloves Finalist, and has a win over Bryan Goldsby (4-1). Holmes is coming off an eight-round unanimous decision over veteran Walter Wright on October 11 in Warren, Michigan.

Abreu of La Romana, Dominican Republic has a record of 14-6 with eight knockouts.

The 31 year-old Abreu has quality wins on his resume over Jose Eduardo Souza (1-0-1), Euri Ginzalez (24-6-1) and Wesley Tucker (14-2).

Abreu is coming off a defeat to Eric Walker on August 1st in Monroeville, PA.

Holmes was 155.4 lbs. Abreu was 158.4 lbs at Thursday’s weigh-in

Split-T Management Fighters Pick Up Four Wins In New York City

NEW YORK (April 12 2019)–This past Wednesday night at Sony Hall in the heart of Manhattan, four prized members of the Split-T Management stable had their hand raised in victory on a DiBella Entertainment Broadway Boxing card.

In the main event, welterweight Ivan Golub defended his WBC USNBC title with an easy ten-round unanimous decision over Manuel Alejandro Reyes.

Golub used good body work in the beginning of the fight that slowly set up hard right hands, and the Ukranian came home with the victory by scores of 100-90 twice, and 99-91 to raise his impressive mark to 16-1.

Junior Middleweight Hurshidbek Normatov won a six-round unanimous decision over Calvin Metcalf.

Normatov of Uzbekistan established his jab early, and dropped Metcalf with a right hook in the 3rd frame. Metcalf (9-2) was able to survive, but it was to no avail as Normatov won by scores of 60-53 on all cards and his his mark to 8-0.

Five-time New York Golden Gloves champion, Brian Ceballo was impressive in stopping Ricardo Garcia in the 2nd round of their welterweight contest.

Ceballo of New York City decked Garcia in round two with a perfect right hand to the chin. Garcia was able to get to his feet, but Ceballo was able to pummel Garcia with a combination, and the bout was stopped at 2:33.

Ceballo, who is promoted by 360 Promotions raised his perfect mark to 8-0 while notching his fourth knockout.

Joseph Williams remained undefeated with a six-round unanimous decision over Mario Flores in a cruiserweight bout.

After being off for two years, Williams looked very sharp landing combinations to the head and body, won by scores of 60-54 on all cards to go to 13-0.

What made the win more impressive that Reyes was coming off a win over 16-0 Armando Pina.

Williams is looking to move down to the light heavyweight division by the end of 2019, and challenge for a title.




Split-T Management’s Fearsome Foursome on Display TONIGHT in the Big Apple

NEW YORK (April 10, 2019)–TONIGHT at Sony Hall in New York City, four members of the Split-T Management stable will be featured on Dibella Entertainment’s Broadway Boxing series.

In the main event, Welterweight Ivan Golub (15-1, 12 KOs) takes on Manuel Alejandro Reyes (11-4-1, 5 KOs) in a ten-round fight for the WBC USNBC title.

Golub of Brooklyn, New York via Ukraine has won two straight bouts since his lone, yet very controversial loss to Jamontay Clark. The 30 year-old is knocking on the door of big fights as he has wins over Kirk Huff (3-0), Tyson Harrison (2-0), Kendal Mena (20-2), Juan Rodriguez Jr. (12-3), Marlon Aguas (9-0) & James Stevenson (23-2). Golub is coming off a 10-round unanimous decision over veteran Lanardo Tyner on August 18th.

Reyes is a capable opponent as he has wins over Dwain Victorian (4-1); two wins over Brian Jones (12-3), Steven Zayas (2-0). He is coming off his a defeat to undefeated Mykal Fox on November 21, 2017.

Golub weighed 146.6 lbs. Reyes was 147 lbs.

Hurshidbek Normatov takes on Calvin Metcalf in a six-round super welterweight contest.

Normatov, 26 was an amateur star from Uzbekistan, has a perfect 7-0 mark with three knockouts. Normatov already has wins over two undefeated foes in his career, and is coming off a 6th round stoppage over Alexis Gaytan on July 21st.

Metcalf of Kansas City has a record of 9-1-1 with two knockouts. The capable Metcalf has wins over Raymond Handson (5-0-1), Jose Louie Lopez (9-2), Marchristopher Adkins (9-2) and his last bout when he drew with undefeated Ethan Cooper on November 17th.

Normatov weighed 155 lbs. Metcalf was 154.4 lbs.

Five-Time New York Golden Gloves champion, Brian Ceballo takes on 20 fight-veteran, Ricardo Garcia in a welterweight bout.

Ceballo 7-0 with three knockouts, is making his 2nd appearance in his native city, and has shown terrific boxing skills in hos early career. He is coming off a six-round unanimous decision over Randy Fuentes on January 27th.

Ceballo is promoted by 360 Promotions.

Ceballo weighed 148.6 lbs. Garcia, who won his first 14 bouts, will be facing his 4th undefeated opponent, checked in at 148.6 lbs as well.

Undefeated cruiserweight Joseph Williams takes on Jose Mario Flores in a six-round bout.

Williams (12-0, 8 KOs) has shown his prowess and potential with quality wins over Joey Montoya (9-2-3), Chris Harris (2-0-2) & Lenin Castillo (15-0-1). In his last Bout. Williams stopped Felipe Romero in three rounds on April 22, 2017 at Barclay Center.

Flores of Woodbrodge, Virginia is 8-1-2 with four knockouts. Flores scored a big upset when he won a eight-round decision over Armando Pina (16-0) on November 10th.

Williams weighed at 198 lbs. Flores was 198.8 lbs

Ivan Golub meets veteran Lanardo Tyner Tonight in Maryland

NEW YORK (August 18, 2018)–Ivan Golub takes on Lanardo Tyner in a scheduled ten-round bout at The Maryland Live Casino in Hanover, Maryland.

The fight, which will be contested for the WBC USNBC Welterweight title, and will be seen live on CBS Sports Network at 9 PM ET.

The 29 year-old Golub has a record of 14-1 with 12 big knockouts.

Golub of Brooklyn, New York via Ukraine is looking to notch his 2nd consecutive victory his only blemished, which was a highly disputed decision loss to undefeated Jamontay Clark.

Golub, who is a feared puncher, will look to gain this notable win over Tyner, who has faced five world champions. Tyner is riding a two-fight winning streak
