Michael Dutchover Takes On Antonio Moran on Friday Night in Semifinal of Last Chance Tournament

PHILADELPHIA, PA /Ontario, CA (August 4, 2022) – On Friday night, junior welterweight Michael Dutchover (16-2, 10 KOs) will take on Antonio Moran as part of the semifinal round of the The Last Chance Tournament at The Pro Box Event Center in Plant City, Florida.

Dutchover, of Midland, Texas is promoted by Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing.

Dutchover advanced in the tournament when he won an eight-round split decision over Clarence Booth on May 20th. The 24 year-old junior welterweight also has wins over Jorge Marron Jr. (18-1), Robeskie Cristobal (15-3), Bergman Aguilar (14-3-1), Ricardo Lopez Torres (7-1-2), Miguel Carriozza (10-1) and Cesar Partida (1-0-1).

Moran, 29 of Mexico City is 27-5-1 with 19 knockouts. The 10-year veteran defeated Jeffrey Torres (10-1) in his quarterfinal effort. Moran has also defeated Brandon Perez Morillon (1-0), Rodolfo Uriel Contreras (1-0), Mario Herrera (2-0), Martin Islas (4-0), Etick Rosales (5-1), Uriel Perez (7-1), Richard Zamora (14-1), Salvador Bricino (13-2), Victor Gonzalez Rodriguez (18-2) and Emanuel Colon (17-1)

At Friday’s weigh-in, Dutchover weighed 139.6 lbs. Moran was 139.8

Michael Dutchover Confident he can Win Last Chance Tournament After Victory Over Booth

PHILADELPHIA, PA /ORANGE, CA (May 23, 2022) – Junior welterweight
Michael Dutchover (16-2, 10 KOs) advanced to the semifinal round in The Last Chance Tournament with an eight-round split-decision victory over veteran Clarence Booth (21-5, 13 KOs) this past Friday night in Plant City, Florida.

Dutchover of Midland, Texas, who is promoted by Banner Promotions and
Thompson Boxing, feels this victory is the first step toward getting back in the world title hunt.

Dutchover looked very solid throughout the contest as he was able to establish and score with power shots, and despite the cards ending in a split decision, most observers of the fight who were in attendance at The Pro Box Event Center and watching on Pro Box TV, thought that Dutchover won the bout handily. Scorecards read 78-74 and 77-75 for Dutchover and 77-75 for Booth.

“This fight was very important to me to get back in the winning column,” said Dutchover. “We did our job. We are back. Right after I got my hand raised, I was ready to get back in there. I am ready to fight Antonio Moran. I am very confident that I can win this tournament and turn my career around. This is going to be a big year for me.”

Michael Dutchover To take on Clarence Booth In Last Chance Tournament Friday Night in Plant City, Florida

PHILADELPHIA, PA /Ontario, CA (May 19, 2022) – Junior welterweight Michael Dutchover (15-2, 10 KOs) will take part in The Last Chance Tournament when he battles veteran Clarence Booth (21-4, 13 KOs) in a scheduled 8-round bout on Friday night in Plant City, Florida. Dutchover of Midland, Texas is promoted by Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing. The fight will be streamed on the Probox TV App.

“It will be great to get under the bright lights again, I miss that feeling,” said the 24-year-old Dutchover. “We are taking this one fight at a time, and we have Booth in front of us on Friday.”

On Booth, “He has good fights under his belt and he has been in with some good contenders. I have studied some film on him, and I am looking forward to imposing my will on him. I am ready to go.”

Dutchover is coming off a disappointing loss to Nahir Albright on September 14, 2021, and now looks to get back on the right course to major fights.

“I have never taken the easy route, my last fight was a learning experience,” continued Dutchover, “When you get knocked down, the key is how you get back up. This is a great opportunity for me to show how much I have improved from my last outing. I feel that I am the guy to beat. Michael Dutchover takes on Nahir Albright in Lightweight Showdown TOMORROW Tuesday, September 14 from Hollywood, Florida

PHILADELPHIA / Orange, Ca (September 13, 2021)–Lightweight’s Michael Dutchover and Nahir Albright will square off in a 10-round bout on Tuesday, September 14th at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

The bout will be part of the Triller Fight Club, and is Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing.

The Dutchover – Albright fight will be streamed on FITE.TV and trillerfightclub.com beginning at 6 PM ET.

Dutchover of Midland, Texas, is promoted by Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing, has a record of 15-1 with 10 knockouts, weighed in at 137 lbs. at Monday’s weigh-in.

The 23 year-old Dutchover is a five year-professional who has wins over Cesar Partida (1-0-1), Miguel Carrizoza (10-1), Ricardo Lopez Torres (7-1-2), Bergman Aguilar (14-3-1), Rosekie Cristobal (15-3), Jorge Marron (18-1) and in his last bout Dutchover won an eight-round unanimous decision over Ivan Leon Benitez on June 6th in Orange, California.

“This is a quick turnaround. I was going to fight on September 24th. I am ready. I have been in camp with Oscar Valdez. I am feeling strong. I am happy to be on this event and showcase my skills to new fans in Hollywood, Florida. Albright is a good opponent. He is quick, but I am preparing for a war. Albright of Sicklerville, New Jersey has a record of 13-1 with six knockouts. The 25 year-old is a five-year professional, who after dropping his pro debut, has won 13 fights in a row. He has amassed victories over Danny Murray (1-0), Glenford Nickey (4-1-1), Roy McGill (6-1), Dante Cox (6-1), and his last bout when Albright took a eight-round unanimous decision over Jeremy Hill (15-1) on July 23rd in Philadelphia.

Albright was 137.7 lbs.

MICHAEL DUTCHOVER WINS UNANIMOUS DECISION IN 2021 DEBUT

Philadelphia, PA (June 7, 2021) – Lightweight prospect, Michael “The West Texas Warrior” Dutchover (15-1, 10 KOs), won a hard-fought unanimous decision against a game, Ivan Leon Benitez (14-5-1, 6 KOs) at the Omega Products International in Corona, California. Dutchover, who is promoted by Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing, outworked Benitez in every round but had to fend off the constant attack he was facing throughout the entire fight. Dutchover showed he has the skillset to box and fight on the inside when things got rough. Benitez showed a lot of heart, but never was in control of the fight. Scorecards read 80-72 twice and 78-74

“This was my first fight in almost a year, and I felt I had some rust to shake off, but overall, I’m happy with my performance,” said Dutchover. “Benitez came to fight as I expected, and I did what I had to do to get the win. Now its time to get right back in the ring and finish of the rest of this year with some good wins. I have a big fight coming up in September back in my home state of Texas that I’m looking forward too. I’ll be ready to go.”
