GH3 Promotions Kenneth Sims Jr. Wins Thrilling WBA Super Lightweight Elimination Bout

Roseland, NJ (May 15, 2023) –It was a perfect weekend for GH3 Promotions fighters as Kenneth Sims won a WBA Super Lightweight Elimination bout in Las Vegas, while Junior Younan remained undefeated and Otha Jones III was impressive in Orlando

Kenneth Sims Jr. outlasted former world title challenger Batyr Akhmedov by taking a 12-round majority decision in a junior welterweight Elimination bout.

The two traded hard shots throughout the high-punch count affair. Sims fought that few rounds with a closed right eye.

Sims landed 309 of 832 punches. Akhmedov landed 331 of 933.

Sims, 139.25 lbs of Chicago, won by scores of 116-112, 115-113 and 114-114 and is now 20-2-1. Akhmedov, 138.75 lbs of Las Angeles is 9-3.

“This is what I’ve been waiting on for years,” said Sims, who won for the seventh straight fight. “I’m not supposed to be here right now. That’s what they say. Ain’t nobody thought I would be here right now. And I know that I’m the best so at 140 it’s whatever. I’m ready for anyone.”

“I want the winner of the main event. I want that title. That’s it. Whoever wins the main event, that’s who I want.”

Also in Orlando, super middleweight Junior Younan remained undefeated with a eight-round unanimous decision over Alan Campa.

Campa was very aggressive, but Younan was able to fight at his own pace, and catch Campa with some good shots on the way in. Ypunan of Brooklyn, NY won by scores of 78-74 and 77-75 twice to raise his record to 18-0-1. Campa of Mexico is 18-8.

Martinez, 160.2 lbs of Milwaukee, WI is 8-0-1. Jones, 161.2 lbs of Sacramento, CA is 7-0-1.

A native of Toledo, Ohio, Jones is 6-1-1 with two knockouts, The 23 year-old Jones has wins over Giorgi Gelashvili (5-1) and is coming off a six-round unanimous decision over Raymond Chacon on February 25th in Orlando.

Williams of Orlando is 4-16-1 with one knockout. Williams has wins over two undefeated foes in Victoriano Gonzalez (5-0) and Hysom Sabet (1-0-1).

undefeated middleweight Javier Martinez takes on fellow undefeated Joeshon Jones in an eight-round bout.

Martinez of Milwaukee is 8-0 with two knockouts. The former United States amateur star has defeated good competition such as Rance Ward (4-1-1) and Pachino Hill (7-0-1). In his last bout, Martinez won a six-round unanimous decision over Marco Delgado on November 12, 2022 in Las Vegas.

Jones of Sacramento, California is 7-0 with four knockouts. The 24 year-old Jones has defeated two undefeated foes in Christian Duran (1-0) and his last outing when he stopped prospect Richard Brewart Jr. (12-0) in seven rounds on September 23, 2022 in Ontario, California.

The 29 year-old Sims has wins over Jonathan Dinong (5-1), Emanuel Robles (15-1), Elvis Rodriguez (11-0-1), Keeshawn Williams (8-0-1), Cristian Rubio Mino (22-5-2) and his fight when Sims stopped Rock Dodler Myrthil (17-1) on December 17, 2022 at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

Akhmedov of Los Angeles via Kazakhstan is 9-2 with eight knockouts. Marques Valle, Otha Jones III and Joseph Hicks All Get Victories

NEW YORK (FEBRUARY 27, 2023)–Three Split-T Management fighters came home with victories over the past five days.

It all started on Wednesday night as junior middleweight Marques Valle remained undefeated by winning a six-round unanimous decision over Jarrod Tennant in Plant City, Florida.

Valle of Wesley Chapel, Florida won by scores of 60-54 twice and 59-55 to keep his unblemished mark at 8-0. Tennant of Los Angeles falls to 8-2.

Saturday night in Orlando, Florida, Otha Jones III won a six-round unanimous decision over 63-fight veteran Raymond Chacon.

The bout, which took place at The Caribe Royale Resort saw Jones win by scores of 60-54 on all cards to raise his record to 6-1-1.

Also on Saturday. Joseph Hicks Jr. remained undefeated with a tough six-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Bilal Quintyne in a super middleweight contest.

Hicks was sent to the canvas at the end of the opening frame. Hicks showed heat by shaking off the first round and coming back to get the better of the next five rounds in the crowd pleasing fight.

Hicks of Grand Rapids, Michigan won by scores of 57-55 and 57-56 twice to raise his record to 5-0. Quintyne is now 4-1.

Split-T Management’s Diego Pacheco Remains Perfect with 2nd round Stoppage in Mexico City

NEW YORK (OCTOBER 26, 2020)– This past Friday night, Split-T Management’s Diego Pacheco remained undefeated by knocking out Juan Antonio Mendez in round two of a scheduled six-round super middleweight fight in Mexico City.

In round two, Pacheco dropped Mendez with a sweet uppercut and the fight was stopped immediately at 2:02,

Pacheco, 167.2 lbs of Los Angeles, CA is 10-0 with eight knockouts. Mendez, 164.9 lbs of Mexico City is 12-3-2.

On the same card that was streamed live on DAZN, junior lightweight Otha Jones III fought to a disputed split-draw with undefeated Kevin Montiel.

Each fighter won a scorecard 58-56, while a 3rd card read even at 57-57.

Jones, who was a 21-time amateur National Champion, continues to show the willingness to fight take on top competition, and took on the undefeated Montiel as an opponent on just two days notice.

Split-T Management’s undefeated prospects, super middleweight Diego Pacheco and junior lightweight Otha Jones III will be in action on a card that will be streamed live on DAZN (7 PM ET).

Pacheco (9-0, 7 KOs) of Los Angeles battles Juan Antonio Mendez (12-2-2, 8 KOs) of Mexico, while Jones (5-0, 2 KOs) battles fellow undefeated Kevin Monitel (6-0, 3 KOs) of Mexico. Both bouts are scheduled for six-rounds.

Pacheco, still just 19 years-old continues his upward ascension as he continues to take on quality opposition. He was wins over four undefeated foes, and is coming off a win over 34-fight veteran Oscar Riojas on February 29th.

Split-T Management’s Otha Jones III and Hurshidbek Normatov Gain Midweek Wins

NEW YORK (February 2, 2020) – Two members of the Split-T Management management stable, junior lightweight Otha Jones III and middleweight Hurshidbek Normatov scored big wins over the past five days.

Normatov got things started on Tuesday night when he gained a eight-round unanimous decision over Uriel Hernandez in Toronto.

Normatov resisted a knockdown in round seven en-route to the shutout victory by scores of 80-71.

The 27 year-old native of Brooklyn via Uzbekistan remained perfect as record jumped to 10-0. Hernandez falls to 13-6.

Thursday night in Miami, Jones stopped 35-fight veteran Juan Santiago in round two of their scheduled six-round bout.

Jones was dominating over the four-and-a-half minute fight, as he featured a strong right hand that continuously found a home on the head of Santiago. Midway through the 2nd round, Jones dropped Santiago with that punch, and the bout was stopped at 1:29.

The 19 year-old native of Toledo, Ohio, Jones, who was a 21-time National Amateur Champion, improves his mark to 6-0 with two knockouts.
