Philadelphia, PA (April 10, 2019)–One of the biggest and most competitive cards is coming to 2300 Arena on Friday night, May 10th as King’s Promotions in association with Titans Boxing Promotions present a tremendous night of boxing.

In the eight-round main event, undefeated super middleweight, Kalvin Henderson takes on Antowyan Aikens in a bout scheduled for eight-rounds.

Henderson of Fayetville, Arkansas has a record of 11-0 with seven knockouts. The 28 year-old is a three-year pro who has wins over Cameron Burroughs (2-0), Bobby Taylor (4-0) and in his last bout when he stopped highly-regarded Brandon Robinson (11-1) on December 7, 2018. That bout was named the 2018 Philadelphia Fight of the Year.

Aikens of Atlantic City has a record of 13-6-1 with one knockout. The 29 year-old Aikens is an eight-year professional. Aikens has quality wins over Sherman Artis Jr. (2-0) & Amir Shabazz (4-0). In his last bout, Aikens was stopped by two-time former world title challenger Ronald Gavril on December 7th in Las Vegas.

In the first of two, eight-round co-features, super middleweight Brandon Robinson takes on DeVaun Lee.

Robinson of Philadelphia has a record of 12-2 with nine knockouts.

The 30 year-old Robinson is a three-year professional, who won 11 straights fights with wins over Brandon Clark (2-0) and Ernest Amuzu (25-3). Robinson stopped Lawrece Blakey in one round on March 29th in Philadelphia.

Lee of Queens, New York has a record of 10-5-1 with five knockouts.

The 31 year-old Lee is a six-year pro, who has quality wins over Josue Valdez (5-0), Ian Green (8-0), former New York Golden Gloves champion Chris Galeano (10-0), Robelle Rogers (4-1); former world title challenger Giovanni Lorenzo (37-7) and Carlos Rafael Cruz (17-1). Lee then entered The Contender Tournament where he lost to eventual finalist Shane Mosley Jr. In his last bout, Lee lost a unanimous decision to Tyrone Brunson on November 9th.

Appearing in an eight-round lightweight bout will be undefeated super bantamweight Raeese Aleem (13-0, 7 KOs) taking on Ramiro Robles (15-8-2, 9 KOs) of Queretero, Mexico.

Alycia Baumgardner (6-1, 4 KOs) of Fremont, OH takes on Gabriella Mezei ((9-17-3, 3 KOs) of Covasna, Romania in a lightweight bout.

Paul Kroll (2-0, 2 KOs) fights Vincent Floyd (4-6-1, 2 KOs) in a battle of Philadelphia based welterweights.

PHILADELPHIA – Junior middleweight boxer Paul Kroll, a 2016 Olympian, made a great start to his professional boxing career in 2018, and was voted by fans as the best rookie in Philadelphia. Paul will receive his Briscoe Award at a public event on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Xfinity Live! in South Philly.

Kroll made his debut in Philadelphia last August, blasting out DeAngelo Alcorn in the first round. He followed that with another stoppage (TKO2), this time against Antonio Wattell in Oklahoma City. Now that his delayed pro career is on track, he appears poised to make his move in 2019. The next step for Kroll is the Briscoe Awards, before more highly anticipated pro fights.

“It’s an honor to win the Briscoe Award, and it feels good to be recognized by my city,” Kroll said.

The awards, named after Philly middleweight boxing legend Bennie Briscoe, have been recognizing the best achievements of the Philly boxing scene since 2007.

Philadelphia, Penn. (August 13, 2018)-This past Friday night, Tyrone Crawley, Jr. and Ricardo Garcia fought to an eight-round majority draw before a capacity crowd at SugarHouse Casino in a junior welterweight bout.

The fantastic nine-bout show was promoted by King’s Promotions.

It seemed that Garcia was leading the action by landing combinations on the ropes. Crawley tried to keep the fight at the center of the ring by trying to lead with his left and flicking out the jab. Garcia dictated the action, but the judges did not see it that way as two of the voters saw the fight even at 76-76 and a 3rd judge had it 79-73 for Garcia.

Garcia, 140.7 lbs of Dominican Republic is 14-3-1. Crawley, Jr., 138.5 lbs of Philadelphia, PA 7-1-1.

Eric Moon won an eight-round unanimous decision over Christopher Brooker in a super middleweight bout.

Moon used quick combination that scored well over the second half of the fight that swelled the left eye of Brooker.

Moon, 167.9 lbs of Marieta, GA won by scores of 78-74 and 77-75 twice to raise his record to 8-1. Brooker, 169 lbs of Philadelphia is now 13-6.

Poindexter Knight remained undefeated by winning a six-round unanimous decision over Gregory Averil Young in a welterweight bout.

Knight was in control of the bout and then in round five with a powerful right hook. Knight landed several more hard shots, but was unable to finish him,.

Knight, 149.9 lbs of Philadelphia won on all cards by 60-53 tallies, and is now 5-0. Young, 147.4 lbs of Hoover, AL is 4-1.

Joshafat Ortiz stopped Javier Oquendo in round three of their scheduled six-round super featherweight bout featuring undefeated fighters.

It was a fast paced bout until Ortiz decked Oquendo with a perfect right hand. Oquendo was hurt, and Ortiz jumped on him, and after a hard flurry, the bout was stopped at 2:06.

Ortiz, 128.6 lbs of Reading, PA is 5-0 with three knockouts. Oquendo, 128.8 lbs of Philadelphia is 3-1.

Rasheed Johnson won a six-round unanimous decision over Tony Morris in a welterweight bout.

Morris was cut badly over his left eye in round three from a clash of heads, while Johnson was also cut but not as much.

Johnson, 145.5 lbs of Philadelphia won by scores of 60-54 on all cards, and is now 4-2. Morris, 149.4 lbs of Jacksonville, FL is 4-2-1.

2016 U.S. Olympic Trials champion Paul Kroll made a successful pro debut by stopping DeAngelo Alcorn in the 1st round of their scheduled four-round welterweight bout.

Kroll scored one knockdown from a hard overhand right, and the bout was stopped at 2:33.

Kroll, 151.5 lbs of Philadelphia is 1-0 with 1 knockout. Alcorn, 150.8 lbs of Searcy, AR is 0-2.

Rasheen Brown looked sharp in his pro debut by winning a four-round unanimous decision over Bryann Perez in a super bantamweight bout.

Brown, 122.9 lbs of Philadelphia won by scores of 40-36 twice, and 39-37, and is now 1-0. Perez, 127.1 lbs from Dallas, TX is 2-11.

In a nice back and forth brawl, Nicoy Clarke won a majority decision over Jose Nunez in a heavyweight bout that was filled with action.

The fought hard on the inside throughout the bout, but Clarke landed the harder punches.

In round two, Nunez began to bleed from his nose.

Clarke, 209.4 lbs of Jersey City, NJ won by scores of 40-36, 39-37 and 38-38, and is now 2-1. Nunez, 216.2 lbs of Reading, PA was making his pro debut.

KING’S PROMOTIONS RETURNS TO THE 2300 ARENA ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14TH

Philadelphia, Penn. (August 9, 2018)–As part of the nine-bout card this Friday night at SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia, 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials champion, Paul Kroll will make his long awaited pro debut in a junior middleweight bout scheduled for four-rounds.

The show is promoted by King’s Promotions, and will be headlined by an eight-round junior welterweight bout between Tyrone Crawley Jr. (7-1) of Philadelphia against Ricardo Garcia (14-3, 9 KOs) of Dominican Republic for the WBF title.

Kroll of Philadelphia is set to take on DeAngelo Alcorn of Searcy, Arkansas.

“I am excited. It has been a long time that I have been waiting to turn pro,” said Kroll. “Training has been good. It was a perfect camp. I have been on weight since three days before the weigh-in.”

He doesn’t know much about Alcorn, but Kroll will be ready for whatever Alcorn brings to the ring on Friday night.

“All I know is his name, and he will need some aspirin after I am done with him.”

Living up to big expectations is not a problem for Kroll.

“I do not feel any pressure. I have been an underdog my whole life. I just feel with my coach Dirk Gooden with me, I can beat anyone. I have a great support system that helps me through whatever I need.”

Kroll wants to just continue fighting on his way to being a contender in the welterweight division.

“I just want to be active, and fight a lot. That will keep me crisp and sharp. After that, I am willing to fight whomever.”

In the amateurs, Kroll plied his trade alongside some of the best prospects in the sport, and their success motivates him to be great.

“Myself, Christian Carto, Jaron Ennis and Darmani Rock all came up together. They are my brothers. We competed in all the tournaments together and I want us all to become world champions.”

“I just want to say it’s “Punsiher” time on Friday. This is a dream come true to make my professional debut in my hometown. I promise my family, friends and everyone who supports me that I will become world champion.
