Mark Dawson takes on Larry Fryers in New Main Event on Saturday, July 24th at The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (June 28, 2021)-Undefeated welterweight Mark Dawson Jr. will take on seasoned veteran Larry Fryers in the eight-round main event of an RDR Promotions card on Saturday, July 24th at the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia.

The card will conclude the 2nd night of a “Crossroads” weekend doubleheader at the 2300 Arena. The July 23rd show was updated last week with Nahir Albright taking on Jeremy Hill in the main event.

Dawson of Philadelphia has a record of 8-0-1 with three knockouts. The 24 year-old Dawson, is a five year-professional, and is coming off of a win over Rodrigo Solis on May 8th at the 2300 Arena.

Fryers of Yonkers, New York has a record of 11-4 with four knockouts. The 30 year-old Fryers is a five year professional. He has a good win over previously undefeated Charles Natal (9-0-2). Fryers is coming off a setback to prospect Xander Zayas on June 12th.

In the co-feature, popular heavyweight Joey Dawejko will compete in an eight-round bout.

Dawejko of Philadelphia is 21-8-4 with 12 knockouts. The 21 year-old Dawejko is a 12 year-professional who has wins over Ricardo Johnson (1-0), John Lennox (6-0), Derric Rossy (28-7), Mark Rideout (4-0-2), Enobong Umohette (9-2), Natu Visinia (11-1), Demetrius Banks (9-1) and Kelvin Nunez (15-0). Dawejko is coming off a 1st round stoppage of Joe Jones on April 3rd at the 2300 Arena. Dawejko’s opponent will be announced shortly.

All-Philly Showdown between Steven Ortiz and Damon Allen Headlines on Saturday, July 24th at the 2300 Arena

PHILADELPHIA (June 17, 2021)-A highly anticipated lightweight showdown between “Philly Favorites” Steven Ortiz and Damon Allen Jr. headlines a gigantic night of boxing on Saturday, July 24th at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

The fight card, dubbed “Crossroads” will feature the much talked about fight, which has been scheduled twice, but postponed by the Pandemic and then an injury.

The fight will headline the second night of back-to-back massive shows at the 2300 Arena promoted by RDR Promotions. The Friday, July 23rd show was announced yesterday

The Ortiz-Allen showdown is promoted in association with DiBella Entertainment.

The bout is the most anticipated “Philly vs. Philly” main event matchup since Derek Ennis took a 12-round majority decision over Gabriel Rosado on July, 30 2010 at the same venue.

Ortiz is 12-0 with three knockouts. The 27 year-old is a six-year professional, who has wins over Tyrome Jones (4-0), Joshua Davis (11-2), Wesley Ferrer (12-0-1), Jeremy Cuevas (11-0), Alejandro Salinas (10-2) and his last out when he took an eight-round unanimous decision over Jeremy Hill (14-0) on March 10th in Uncasville, Connectcut.

Allen is 16-1-1 with five knockouts. the 28 year-old Allen is an eight-year professional who has victories over former world champion Gamaliel Diaz, Jayro Duran (10-2), former world title challenger Martin Honorio and his last outing, when Allen took a six-round unanimous decision over Diemerci Nzau on October 25, 2019.

Taking part in the eight round co-feature will be undefeated welterweight Mark Dawson Jr..

RDR Promotions June 25th Fight Card moved to Friday, July 23rd

PHILADELPHIA (June 16, 2021)-The recently announced June 25th fight RDR Promotions fight card at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia will be moved to Friday July 23rd. This will set p one of the biggest weekend in recent Philadelphia boxing history as RDR Promotions will present “Crossroads” fight weekend with two huge nights of boxing on Friday, July 23rd and Saturday, July 24th (Card to be announced this week).

Tickets Bought from Fighters, must be returned to the Point of Purchase for a refund. Those tickets WILL NOT be honored on July 23rd; Tickets Bought at the 2300 Arena WILL BE honored.

In the main event on July 23rd, will be a “cant miss” eight-round lightweight bout between Nahir Albright and Jeremy Hill.

Albright of Sicklerville, New Jersey has a record of 12-1 with six knockouts.

The 25 year-old Albright has been streaking as he stopped his last four opponents which includes early wins over Dante Cox (6-1) and his fight when he stopped former world title challenger Cosme Rivera in eight-rounds on May 28th in Rivera’s home country of Mexico. Albright also has wins over Danny Murray (1-0), Glenford Nickey (4-1-1) and Roy McGill (6-1-1).

Hill of New Orleans has a record of 15-1 with 10 knockouts.

Hiil, 28 years-old is a three-year pro who has wins over Leshawn Alcoks (1-0), Xavier Wilson (11-1-1) and Travis Castellon (16-3-1). Hill is coming of of a fourth round stoppage over Deivi Julio on May 15th in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Joey Dawejko Takes on Former U.S. Olympian in Main Event on Friday, June 25th at The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (June 7, 2021)–An intriguing 10-round heavyweight clash between Philly-Favorite Joey Dawejko and former U.S. Olympian Devin Vargas will headline a big night of professional boxing at the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia.

The show is promoted by RDR Promotions.

Dawejko of Philadelphia has a 21-8-4 with 12 knockouts. The 30 year-old Dawejko was a former world junior amateur champion, and turned professional on September 26, 2009 with a six-round unanimous decision over Royphy Solieau. Over the length of his career, Dawejko has racked up wins over John Lennox (6-0), Derric Rossy (28-7), Mark Rideput (4-0-2), Enobong Umohette (9-2), Natu Visina (11-1), Demetrius Banks (9-1), Kelvin Nunez (15-0), and In his last bout, Dawejko needed just one round to take out Joe Jones on April 3rd at The 2300 Arena.

Vargas of Sylvania, Ohio had a stellar amateur career where he was a two-time national champion and represented the United States at the 2004 Summer Olympics.

Vargas turned professional on November 26, 2004 with a 1st round stoppage over Adam Smith. That led to a pro record that stands at 22-7 with nine knockouts. He has wins over Ed Perry (6-1-1), David Saulsberry (5-1), Boris Shishporenak (6-0), Niall Kennedy (13-0-1) and Victor Bisbal (23-4). Vargas is coming off a loss to Zhang Zhilei on November 7, 2020 in Hollywood, Florida.
