Atlantic City, NJ (January 11, 2017) – Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna will battle veteran Eduardo Flores eight-round junior middleweight bout on Saturday night, January 28th at the Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.

The bout will headline a card promoted by Rising Promotions.

LaManna of Millville, New Jersey has a record of 21-2 with nine knockouts.

The 25 year-old is coming off a defeat to undefeated Dusty Hernandez Harrison in a thrilling bout that took place on September 15th in Philadelphia.

In that bout, LaManna fought a good fight and had solid moments throughout the hotly contested bout that was for the USBA Welterweight title.

LaManna is moving back up to the 154 pound division where LaManna is undefeated (7-0 between 148-154 pounds) in the division for which he turned professional in 2011.

LaManna won his first 16 bouts, where enjoyed wins over Ashanti Gibbs and Jamaal Davis.

After suffering his first professional defeat to undefeated middleweight prospect Antoine Douglas, LaManna ripped off five consecutive victories that was highlighted by by a 4th round stoppage over Kendal Mena (20-3).

“I’m looking forward to displaying my boxing skills against this rugged veteran,” said LaManna He’s been in the ring with a lot of good fighters and former world champions, but never been in there with me. Flores of Quito, Ecuador is a 52-fight veteran and sports a record of 25-24-3 with 15 knockouts.

The 30 year-old Flores is a 10 year professional, who has taken on the best fighters in the 135-154 pound divisions such as former world champions Carlos Baldomir, Diego Chaves & Kermit Cintron as well as 19 other undefeated opponents, for which Flores had three wins and a draw.

Flores is coming off a six-round unanimous decision defeat to undefeated Sammy Valentin (9-0) on November 18th in Kissimmee, Florida.

In the six-round co-feature, light heavyweight Chuck Mussachio (19-3-2, 5 KO’s) of Wildwood, New Jersey will fight Michael Mitchell (3-7-2, 1 KO) of Paterson, New Jersey.

Mitchell has faced terrific competition and has only been stopped once, and has fought four undefeated fighters.

Millville NJ (October 3, 2016)–Rising Promotions is proud to announce the signings of super middleweight Isiah Seldon, super lightweight’s Marvin Johnson & Dan Murray, bantamweight Dallas Holden, cruiserweight David Sparks and featherweight Dion Sparks to exclusive promotional contracts.

They join undefeated heavyweight Quian Davis (3-0-2, 2 KO’s) as the first group of fighters to ink contracts under the Rising Promotions banner.

Davis is coming off a 28 second knockout this past Saturday night in Trenton, New Jersey over Jonathan Hafley

Seldon of Atlantic City, New Jersey has a record of 9-1 with three knockouts.

The 28 year-old son of former WBA Heavyweight world champion, Bruce Seldon, turned professional in 2010 and won his first seven bouts. Following his lone blemish, Seldon has won two fights in 2016, which includes his latest outing when won a six-round unanimous decision over Eddie Edmond on May 27th in Atlantic City.

“I am happy and excited. I know they will keep me busy and they are bringing boxing back to Atlantic City. It’s a blessing,” said Seldon.

Johnson has a record of 1-0-1. The Bridgeton, New Jersey native is had a long amateur career of 211-31. He was a 2007 National PAL in 2007 and 6 time in Florida PAL champion. Johnson was a 3 time time Ringside World Championship Runner-Up; 3 time National PAL Runner-Up Johnson is

24 years-old and turned professional in 2014, and is is coming off a four-round unanimous decision over Lamont White on July 22nd in Atlantic City.

“I have known Thomas for a long time and its going to be a good thing. It’s going to open a lot of doors. Because of my amateur career, people know me and now they want to see me fight as a professional,” said Holden.

David Sparks of Brooklyn, New York has a record of 2-0. The 31 year-old turned professional in 2014 and in his latest outing, he won a four-round unanimous decision over Marcellus Yates on March 28, 2015 in Queens, New York

Before turning pro, Sparks competed in 80 amateur fights and amassed 3 National championships, Golden Gloves and Ringside world championships

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 22, 2016)-Welterweight Anthony “Juice” Young won a six-round unanimous decision over veteran Eduardo Flores in the featured bout of a nine-bout card this past Friday night at the Claridge in Atlantic City.

The bout headlined a sold out night of boxing that was promoted by Rising Promotions. It was the fourth consecutive sold out event in the last eight months that Rising Promotions has staged.

The co-feature saw welterweight Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna tuned up for a major bout in the fall with a first round destruction of Engleberto Valenzuela in a super welterweight bout.

Young, of Atlantic City systematically took apart Flores, despite Flores trying to frustrate Young by coming in with wild shots for which some strayed behind the head.

In the end, It was Young, who was not headlining for the first time, but being spurred on by his hometown fans and he was able to get the victory to the tune of 60-54 & 59-55 twice.

Young of Atlantic City is now 13-2. Flores of Ecuador is 23-22-5.

LaManna of Millville, New Jersey took apart his Mexican opponent with a hard combination that sent Valenzuela into the corner. The popular New Jersey Product wasted no time in getting Valenzuela out of the fight by landing a thunderous body punch that sent him to the canvas. The fight was halted at 2:17 of round one.

LaManna will take on a highly-regarded opponent (To be announced this week) on September 16th at Taj Mahal in Atlantic City.

This was “Cornflake’s” fifth consecutive win and second consecutive inside the distance to raise his record to 21-1 with ten knockouts. Valenzuela is 10-8.

Heavyweight Dan Pasciolla avenged his only pro defeat by winning a six-round unanimous decision over Dante Selby.

Pasciolla was credited a knockdown in round two as he landed a flurry in the corner and it was ruled that only the ropes stopped Selby from hitting the canvas.

Pasciolla of Brick, New Jersey won by scores of 60-53 twice and 59-54 and is now 8-1-1. Selby of Philadelphia, was coming off a two and a half year layoff is 2-2-1.

Exciting bantamweight prospect Christian Carto made it two consecutive stoppages by halting debuting Christopher Nelson in round three of their scheduled four-round bout.

Carto of Deptford, NJ floored the Indiana native in each of the three rounds and the bout was stopped fifty-one seconds into the third frame.

Carto is now 2-0 with two knockouts.

Marvin Johnson scored a third-round knockdown en route to a four round unanimous decision over Lamont White in a lightweight bout.

Scores were 40-35, 40-36 and 39-36 for Johnson of Atlantic City who is now 1-0-1. White of Washington, DC is 0-2.

Dallas Holden of Atlantic Cit won a four round unanimous decision over Kevin Asmat in a bantamweight bout featuring New Jersey based pro debuters.

It was a close fight with each fighter making a case for the victory.

In the end, all three cards read 39-37 in favor Holden of Atlantic City over the North Bergen native.

In a battle of pro debuters, Donald Smith of Philadelphia won his pro debut by winning a four-round unanimous decision over Cameron Cain of Indiana. in a junior lightweight bout.

Smith controlled the action and won by scores of 40-35 and 40-36 twice.

Chinese light heavyweight Fanlong Meng scored a knockdown and was ruled the winner via 5th round stoppage over former contender Daniel Judah in a scheduled eight round bout.

Meng sent Judah into the ropes with a left hand that was ruled a knockdown and Meng and the referee ruled that Judah could not continue at the bout was stopped at 2:08.

Meng is now 8-0 with 6 knockouts. Judah of Brooklyn, NY is 24-11-3.

Zhang Zhilei of China won a six round unanimous decision over Rodney Hernandez in a heavyweight bout.

Scores were 60-53 and 59-55 twice for Zhilei of China, who is now 11-0. Hernandez is 10-5-1.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 22, 2016)–Tonight at The Claridge in Atlantic City, Kevin Asmat of North Bergen, New Jersey is set to make his pro debut against Dallas Holden of Atlantic City in a super bantamweight bout scheduled for four rounds.

Asmat was a former amateur standout as he compiled a record of 96-14 and he made made it to the semifinal round of the 2016 Olympic qualifying tournament.

“I am feeling great and I am ready for Friday,” said Asmat after Friday’s weigh in where he checked in at 120 pounds.

“All I know about my opponent is that he is from Atlantic City,” Asmat said of Holden, who will also be making his pro debut.

The 21 year-old Asmat is grateful for the opportunity that Rising Promotions offered him so he could make his pro debut in his home state.

“It feels good that Thomas LaManna and his mom Debbie gave me an opportunity to debut on their card.”

When asked what fans should expect, Asmat said, “My style depends on how the fight is going. I can box, I can fight when I have to and also be a boxer-puncher. I adapt to what I need to do to win the fight.”

Asmat intends to stay very busy and he predicts and long and prosperous professional career.

“I will be happy to get in three or four fights this year and hopefully fight about seven times in 2017. That should get me on my way and I can’t for tonight and people can see that they saw the beginning of my legacy.”

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 20, 2016)–This Friday night at the Claridge in Atlantic City, welterweight, Thomas ” Cornflake” LaManna will take on Engleberto Valenzuela in a six-round bout in a card promoted by Rising Promotions.

With a win, the 24 year-old of Millville, New Jersey is staring a big opportunity in the face against an undefeated opponent that is already penciled in for a September 16th date in Atlantic City.

Although, LaManna can not and will not get into specifics of that fight until he comes through the fight with Valenzuela as he is not taking the native of Sonora, Mexico lightly.

“Valenzuela is a guy from Mexico, who will come to fight. I will try to invest in body work early and see where that goes,” said Lamanna.

LaManna stepped up his training as he started his camp out west and worked with a high class of fighters in an effort to up his skill level.

“Everything went well in camp. I started out in Las Vegas and worked with 2012 Olympic Gold medal winner Ryota Murata. Originally I was not going to fight because of the fight in September, But I was feeling good, so we are ready to put on a great performance.”

This is the fourth fight card for Rising Promotions at The Claridge. The Promotional company headed by Thomas and his mother Debbie. Putting on a show where LaManna is promoting is a daunting task as he must find time to take care of all aspects in putting a show together, but also train properly for a high-class professional boxing match.

“At times it is difficult to train and work on the promotional aspects of the show. But I am intelligent enough to oversee that everyone is doing their job. We have had three shows and I have fought on two of them, and everything has gone well for us and me in the ring as well. If there is a problem, I fix it, but I am a fighter first. The training is most important. That get’s taken care of first, and then I take care of the promotional end of things.”

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 19, 2016)–This Friday night at the Claridge in Atlantic City, welterweight, Anthony “Juice” Young will be in the headlining bout for the first time, and he gets to do it in front of his hometown fans as he takes on Eduardo Flores in six-round bout in a card promoted by Rising Promotions.

The 28 year-old former college football player will look for his 2nd straight win and in the process look to put on a dominant performance against a man who has more than three-times the amount of fights then the Atlantic City native.

“Camp has gone well. I have been sparring with a fighters such as Anthony Burgin, Tevin Farmer, Thomas LaManna and Arturo Padilla,” said Young.

In Flores, he is facing a guy who has faced a litany of prospects and contenders and is by far the most experienced foe that Young has faced.

“I know he is a veteran and has been stopped five times in 47 fights. I know he is coming to fight and I hope to execute the game plan and then I can be the 6th guy to stop him.”

This will be Young’s 7th fight on the boardwalk and fourth in a row, yet unlike some fighters who do not like fighting at home due to outside demands for tickets, Young embraces the opportunity to perform in front of familiar faces.

“It is always a big deal to fight in front of the home crowd. I feed off of them and it urges me on to put on a great performance. Even though this is my first headliner, I always feel like I am the headliner no matter where I fight, but especially here.”

Young knows that a few good wins can put him in position to get in line for a great opportunity, but he is not looking past Flores.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 15, 2016)–Yesterday at Brighton Park in front of The Claridge Hotel, Rising Promotions held an open workout that showcased fighters that will compete on a big night of boxing that will take place on Friday, July 22nd at The Claridge

Welterweight’s Anthony “Juice” Young and Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna, who will compete in the main event and co-feature respectively were two of the fighters featured at the workout.

Anthony Young: “We prepared for 6 hard rounds and we will make it look like easy work. It’s always good to fight at home and feed off the energy of the crowd. There is nothing like it. My opponent is a durable veteran, he has over 40 fights . We have to go out there and execute the gameplan and get the win.”

Thomas LaManna: ” I’m excited to be fighting at The Claridge again, This is our 4th show at the Claridge and I am looking forward to bringing excitement to the fans come next Friday night. Camp was great, I started in Las Vegas and finished back home in New Jersey. I’m in great shape and can’t wait to fight.”

In an eight round bout light heavyweight bout, Fenlong Meng (7-0, 5 KO’s) of Chifeng, China battles Daniel Judah (24-10-3, 11 KOs) of Brooklyn, NY

In an eight-round heavyweight bout, Zhang Zhilei (10-0, 7 KO’s) of Zhoukou, China takes on Rodney Hernandez (10-4-1, 3 KO’s) of Modesto, California.

In a six round heavyweight bout, Tri-State Heavyweight champion Dan Pasciolla (7-1-1) of Brick, NJ will battle Dante Selby (2-1-1) of Philadelphia, PA in a rematch.

Marvin Johnson (0-0-1) of Millville, NJ will take on Lamont White (0-1) of Washington, DC in a lightweight bout scheduled for four-rounds.
