Roney Hines right back in action THIS SATURDAY night in Charlotte, North Carolina against Raquan Ashby

Nutley, NJ (July 25 2018) – Just eight days after winning his professional debut, undefeated heavyweight Roney Hines will get right back to work when he takes on Raquan Ashby in a scheduled four-round bout, this Saturday night at The Grady Cole Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Hines won his maiden voyage last Friday night, when he stopped David Becker in just 68 seconds, as the 2018 National Golden Gloves champion dropped Becker three-times before the bout was halted.

Ashby of Wilson, North Carolina is 0-1.

“Like I said, we will move Roney at a good pace, and he did not take any punches in his first bout, so he is ready to go Saturday night,” said GH3 Promotions CEO, Vito Mielnicki.

With a win, Hines will be back in Charlotte on August 11th,

GH3 Promotions fare well in Sloan, Iowa

Nutley, NJ (July 23, 2018) – GH3 Promotions fighters Thomas Mattice and Roney Hines gained wins this past Friday night in Sloan, Iowa while Kenneth Sims, Jr. fought to a draw in the opening bout of a ShoBox: The New Generation tripleheader.

In the televised co-feature, Mattice got up from a 2nd round knockdown to eek out an eight-round split decision over Zhora Hamazaryan in a battle of undefeated lightweights.

Mattice of Cleveland, Ohio won by scores of 76-75 twice while Hamazaryan won a card by a 77-74 tally.

Mattice is now 13-0.

In the opening bout of the ShoBox telecast, Kenneth Sims, Jr. was denied a victory in his eight-round junior welterweight bout with Montana Love as the judges saw the fight as a split draw.

Sims controlled the action and seemingly got the better of the fight, but somehow the fighgt was scored a draw.

Each fighter won a card 77-75 and a 3rd card read even at 76-76.

Sims of Chicago is 12-1-1.

In non-televised action, 2018 National Golden Gloves champion Roney Hines needed just 68 seconds to drop David Becker three times to win his pro debut.

In the main of event of a ShoBox: The New Generation tripleheader that will be LIVE ON SHOWTIME® at 10 PM ET / PT (Delayed on The West Coast), newly signed Armando Alvarez (18-0, 12 KOs) of Key West, Florida takes on Jaron Ennis (20-0, 18 KOs) in a welterweight bout scheduled for ten-rounds.

In the co-feature, Thomas Mattice (12-0, 10 KOs) of Cleveland, Ohio takes on Zhora Hamazaryan (9-0, 6 KOs) in an eight-round lightweight bout.

National Golden Gloves champion Roney Hines to make pro debut this Friday in Sloan, Iowa

Cleveland, Ohio (July 16, 2018) – This Friday night at the WinnaVegas Casino Resort in Sloan, Iowa, 2018 National Golden Gloves champion, heavyweight Roney Hines will make his pro debut when he takes on David Becker in a four-round bout that will precede a ShoBox: The New Generation tripleheader.

Hines, 23 years-old, of Cleveland, Ohio won the National Golden Gloves in May in Omaha, Nebraska, which is just an 90 minute drive from Sloan, Iowa.

“I am ready to get this out of the way, and put my name on the map. I want to show people what I have,” said Hines.

Hines, who describes himself as a boxer-puncher, has the physical attributes of the modern day heavyweight by standing almost 6-foot-7 and weighing close to 240 pounds.

Hines, who recently signed with GH3 Promotions explained he is with the New Jersey based promotion due to past success moving young fighters along.

“I am very comfortable with GH3. With Vito Mielnicki, it’s a family type of atmosphere. I plan to fight every month if I can. Whenever Vito says he can get me in the ring, then I will fight. I just want to take this 1 step at a time. I know what I bring as a fighter, and I am looking forward to showing my skills.”

In Becker, Hines is facing an opponent who is 1-1 with 1 knockout from St. Joseph, Missouri.

“I do not know anything about him. He just needs to know who I am, and if he doesn’t, I will show him on Friday.”

“I am going to work hard, and take this one step at a time. I will be a factor in the heavyweight division before too long.”

Hines is promoted by GH3 Promotions and is co-managed by Chances Aurelius and former NFL star Ray Edwards. Hines is trained by Push Davis.

Mielnicki said, “I am looking for Roney to have around 15 fights before the end of 2019.”
