Philadelphia – March 30, 2017 – Tomorrow night at 2300 Arena, two of Philadelphia’s most promising prospects top “Philly Strong,” a nine-bout card, and both are expecting their toughest fights to date.

In the main event, Jaron “Boots” Ennis (9-0, 8KO) will seek his tenth victory when he faces veteran James “Shotgun” Winchester (20-12, 8KO) of Reidsville, North Carolina. The six round, welterweight matchup will be Ennis’ toughest to date. Winchester is coming off three consecutive wins, and steps into the ring having faced world class competition throughout his career. Winchester went the distance with Matt Korobov (27-1, 14KO), Glen Tapia (23-4, 15KO), Eddie Gomez (19-2, 11KO), and Terrell Gausha (20-0, 9KO) and others. Ennis was victorious in his last outing at 2300 Arena, knocking out Elvin Perez in under a minute.

In the co-main event, Manny “Major Pain” Folly (9-0, 7KO) takes on Dominican Republic’s Luis Hinijosa (30-10, 17KO) in a six round bout at super bantamweight. Hinijosa enters the ring the more experienced fighter, and fought Claudio Marrero (21-1, 15KO) prior to his last two fights, which were both decision wins. Folly had an impressive showing in his last fight, knocking out Mexico’s Carlos Morgan (13-5, 6KO) in the first round in January.

Local Philadelphia fighters Keenan Smith (10-0, 4KO) and Joshua Jones (3-0-1, 2KO) will be featured in separate bouts on Friday, along with New Jersey’s Darren Goodall (4-0, 3KO) and Coachella welterweight sensation Brandun Lee (1-0, 1KO), who made his debut at Victory Boxing’s January card in Philadelphia.

Joshua Jones ( 3-0-1, 2KO) returns at lightweight, along with super welterweight Elijah Vines (3-0, 3KO), also of Philadelphia. Fan favorite, light heavyweight Darren Goodall, whose New Jersey crowd had the walls of 2300 arena shaking in January, will join the Philadelphia contingent on the card, and Baltimore’s Mack Allison (7-0, 7KO) will look to keep his perfect record intact.

Victory Boxing Promotions super-prospect Adam Daranyi (10-0, 10KO), of Canada, made quick work of Lenwood Dozier in January, and he returns at welterweight on the 31st. Fellow Victory Boxing prospect Brandun Lee will also see welterweight action in his second professional bout.

Top amateur Christian Montano, who made headlines earlier this month when he signed with top manager Cameron Dunkin, will make his anticipated professional debut at light heavyweight. The young fighter is expected to stay busy in the coming months.

VICTORY BOXING RETURNS TO PHILADELPHIA SATURDAY

PHILADELPHIA – January 26, 2017 – Victory Boxing Promotions returns to 2300 Arena in Philadelphia this Saturday with an eight-bout card stacked with elite, undefeated prospects. It is the first of three events that Victory Boxing has on the books at the storied arena in 2017. In the main event, Jaron “Boots” Ennis (8-0, 7KO) faces Puerto Rico’s Elvin Perez (28-16-4, 19KO) in a six-round bout at welterweight.

It’s a step up in competition for Ennis, who beat Marcus Bedford via sixth round technical knockout in December. “We are moving Boots very fast,” Victory Boxing Promotions Founder and Promoter said of the young talent, who began his pro career last April with four national amateur championships and two of Philadelphia’s famed Briscoe Awards under his belt. “Boots is the real deal, and we’re going to see how he fares against a much more experienced opponent on Saturday.”

In the co-main event, boxer-cop Manny Folly (8-0, 6KO) faces Mexico’s Carlos Morgan (12-4, 6KO) in a six round bout. The bantamweight impressed crowds in November with a first round knockout over the more experienced Tibor Nadori. The young talent splits his time between boxing and policing the rough North Philadelphia neighborhood in which he grew up. Another hot Philadelphia prospect, Joshua Jones (3-0-1, 2KO), will step into the ring in his hometown versus an as yet to be determined foe. Local prospect Darren Goodall (3-0, 2KO) kicks off the Philadelphia action in a four-round, super middleweight bout versus Gary Hudson Jr. (debut). Six-foot Philly featherweight Don Smith (3-0, 2KO) is also in action versus Indiana’s Chris Nelson.

Also on the card, Victory Boxing’s busiest prospect, Mexican Junior Welterweight Carlos Sanchez (11-0, 10KO), who fought eleven times in 2016 including his January debut, faces Virginia’s Somner Martin (6-3, 4KO). Canadian knockout artist Adam Daranyi (9-0, 9KO) returns to the ring for the first time since July of last year to face experienced Maryland fighter Lenwood Dozier (12-15-2, 5KO).

Victory Boxing Promotions will debut two exciting new professionals on Saturday. Coachella welterweight Brandun Lee will embark on his professional career after a stellar amateur career that included three National Golden Gloves titles. Pasadena, California’s Christian Camarena also makes his debut at lightweight.

The weigh-in, which is open to the public, will take place Friday, January 27th at 6:00 p.m. at Holiday Inn Stadium, 900 Packer Avenue in Philadelphia.

Tickets for Super Brawl: The Undefeated begin at $40 and are available at victoryboxingpromotions.com or by calling 602-540-5075. Doors to 2300 Arena open at 6:00 and first bell is at 7:00 p.m.

VICTORY BOXING PROMOTIONS KICKS OFF 3 FIGHT PHILLY SERIES WITH “SUPER BRAWL” ON JANUARY 28TH

PHILADELPHIA – December 27, 2016 – Victory Boxing Promotions kicks off 2017 with “Super Brawl,” a ten-bout card featuring world class talent from Philadelphia and beyond, Saturday, January 28th at 2300 Arena in South Philly.

Jaron Ennis (8-0, 7KO) will showcase his talents at welterweight in his ninth fight since his professional debut in April of last year. Ennis, who took home his second Briscoe Award earlier this year for his outstanding amateur career, delivered a phenomenal performance in his sixth round stoppage of Marucs Beckford (3-5-3, 1KO) earlier this month. The Ennis family has deep roots in the Philadelphia boxing scene. The 19-year-old is trained by his father and former professional boxer, Derrick “Bozy” Ennis, and is the younger brother of Derrick “Pooh” Ennis and Farah Ennis, who were themselves accomplished professional boxers.

Another Philadelphia favorite, super bantamweight Manny “Major Pain” Folly (8-0, 6KO), continues his quest to remain undefeated, while setting an example for the kids in his community. The Philadelphia Police Officer splits his time between training for boxing and protecting his community and fellow Philadelphia residents. He turned heads in his last fight, a first round knockout win over Hungarian Tibor Nadori (9-7-1, 4KO) in November.

Philadelphia super lightweight Joshua “Hands of Stone” Jones (3-0-1, 2KO) returns in his first fight since winning a wide unanimous decision over South Carolina’s Corey Edwards (2-2, 1KO) at Victory Boxing’s November card at 2300 Arena.

Elite talent, and incredibly hard-hitting Canadian prospect Adam Daranyi (9-0, 9KO), looks to continue his perfect run in a six round bout at super welterweight. Mexican super lightweight Carlos Sanchez, who racked up an 11-0 record in 11 months in 2016, makes his first appearance in the City of Brotherly Love. UK talent Donovan Cameron (4-0, 4KO) also steps into the ring on January 28th in a super welterweight bout.

Amateur standouts Brandun Lee and Christian Camarena both make their highly-anticipated professional debuts on the card as well.

The card is the first of three events on the books for Victory Boxing Promotions in Philadelphia in the first half of 2017. In addition to January 28th, the promotion has scheduled events on March 31st and June 17th at 2300 Arena.

“We’re very excited about bringing some of the top Victory Boxing Promotions fighters to the 2300 Arena on January 28th, and again in March and June,” said Victory Boxing Promotions’ Owner & Promoter Chris Middendorf. “The community’s response there has been so positive, and we’re looking forward continuing to showcase these world class Philadelphia fighters in their hometown.”

Tickets for Super Brawl begin at $40, and are now on sale at victoryboxingpromotions.com. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and first bell is at 7:00 p.m. For more information visit victoryboxingpromotions.com.
